Sandra M. Sufian is professor of health humanities and history in the Department of Medical Education at the University of Illinois School of Medicine and associate professor of disability studies in the UIC Department of Disability and Human Development. She is the author of several books, including Healing the Land and the Nation: Malaria and the Zionist Project in Palestine, 1920-1947, also published by the University of Chicago Press. She is the cofounder of the Cystic Fibrosis Reproductive and Sexual Health Collaborative and serves on the editorial board of Disability Studies Quarterly.
